Hand-Painted Chocolate Cake

For a family friend's 66th birthday celebration, I decided to create a hand-decorated cake. I used a basic chocolate sheet cake from Whole Foods which already came with corner embellishments. The rest was piped out and drawn using melted chocolate chips and food coloring.

As time-consuming and labor-intensive it can be to create something like this, I think there is something so special (especially in our hyper-digital age) and impactful about using my own hands and fingers to create a beautiful gift in honor of somebody important in my life.

I used milk chocolate to create the outlines of my image, and white chocolate (mixed with food coloring) to fill in the empty spaces.

Here was the final result! And our celebration 🥳 ~ The feeling of having loved ones appreciate a piece of artwork made with your heart & soul is out of this world, and it's what keeps Sunhee Studio running at all times. Thanks for reading! 😽
